Today’s story features Jack Smith, an Arizona-based geneticist. Emerging from a lousy past month in his personal life, Jack had hoped November would be better. The universe — and a local cult leader — have other plans for the family man.

After the story, J.C. delivers some spiffy news about this anthology, and the upcoming release of 7th Son: Descent.

    I’ve missed these characters so much! PE:DA has it’s own kind of appeal for sure, but 7th Son has a more typical sci-fi appeal. I’m SO happy you’re going to reread all three novels. By the third one you really had your style down and Decent could really use the redo. I’ve already got mine preordered though I’m concidering getting more copies and giving them away as White Elephant gifts or something. :D
