Very nice.

Hits on a lot of story elements, but subtle enough to not seem overwhelming. A cover that looks like someone who knows the book was involved (so as to not leave that disappointing “but where’s the cover bit” after taste).

Much improved cover! It has a ton more action implied and does tell the story basics. Way to go St. Martin’s Press!

Very retro-thriller, with a bit of tension from the action.

I will say I thought there should be a colon or something to break up the “7th Son” and “Descent”, but that might have been the ear worm of the Hutch “7th Son, Book One: Descent”.

Very cool cover and you’re right, it does capture all the elements of the story. I was a bit undecided as to whether or not I liked the font for the title but the more I stare, the more I think it works and LIKE IT!

Men running at the viewer, DNA at their core—it catches the spirit of 7th Son.

I also like what the designer did with the title. Not only does it use the simple-yet-futuristic Neuropol face, it turns the 7 into a boomerang/delta-wing shape. So right off the bat there’s motion, for the running men to pick up and accentuate.

Way cool.
