For those following my Silver Case adventures, here’s an update that’ll tickle you. As many of you know, I’ve been warned by a mysterious fellow named “Case Man,” aka Richard Findes, about the allegedly nefarious deeds of the Armacham corporation.
Armacham has targeted me to apparently participate in a marketing event for the release of the new video game F.E.A.R. 2, the Case Man said. But the company shouldn’t be trusted, he insisted — Armacham is using the event as a ruse to possibly perform genetic testing on me and other Silver Case recipients.
I’ve remained fairly neutral about Case Man’s accusations; after all, he could be spreading misinformation about Armacham. At the same time, I’ve been skeptical about Armacham’s supposed “targeting” of me; why in the the heck would a major conglomerate reach out to me? There’s nothing special about J.C. Hutchins.
But yesterday, I received this letter from A.T. Harman, an employee at Armacham Technology Corporation. (A scan of the letter is beneath my transcript.) Things are getting … interesting.
I’m going to personally pursue this mystery later today, and get back to you with some video and opinions. In the meantime, enjoy this very intriguing letter.
If this is real, should I go? My personal safety might be at risk. Sound off in the comments…

Dear J.C.:
Congratulations. I am pleased to inform you that Armacham Technologies would like to include you in our upcoming *FEAR LAB trials in New York City.
Armacham will fly you to New York City to be one of the first to experience F.E.A.R. 2 during the weekend of January 17th and 18th. As part of the **Level III test, you will be granted access to our mobile FEAR LAB, allowing extensive interaction with the game prior to its public release.
The F.E.A.R. 2 module represents a major leap forward in FPS game-play and as part of Armacham’s outreach, we will provide live blogging & live streaming stations at the event for you to share with your audience.
Please contact our travel coordinator … to make arrangements.
Best Regards,
A.T. Harman
*Measurable PK attunement and Neuro-inductive Cognition is amplified by up to 22% by subjects utilizing the chair, although prolonged use is still being restricted to those displaying an initial Zener rating of 9+.
**Level III is designed for bloggers/gamers identified to possess exceptional latent Ganzfield reactions; these players will be among the first test subjects of the new module outside of Armacham’s secret research facility.

WHF??? OMG I don’t think I would go if I were u, unless of course they don’t ask you to sign a waiver. If you have to sign something then no … but then again if they don’t ask you to sign a waiver then maybe it is all a scam??? go with your gut feel on this one.
Dude!! I called it did I not?
Go for it… free trip to NYC!! I bet it would be a hell of an experience!! Plus you may be genetically altered to possess psychic powers!! Think of the possibilities – you could mentally influence a battle between FOX and Universal for the rights to 7th Son!
Do it dude… do it!!!
JC,
Simply, yes. Go. Make the call and book the trip. Your not paying. Its a rabbit hole. Its not ‘real’ as in them stealing or implanting things into your mind or changing you.
You created an ARG with Dark Arts. If Dark Arts had this, would you participate? Would you be let down if a person chosen to participate this way in your ARG didnt?
Twitter while your in NYC.
I would love to have that chance.

WP: See that dot waaaaaaaaay over there? The one waving at you? Yeah, that one. That’s the point. You appear to have missed it by a long shot. Or at least some of it.
J.C. knows that this is an ARG…as do we all. Go back to the first Silver Case video and listen as he says so. But that’s metagame thinking. Half the fun of an ARG is “buying in” to the reality presented and playing along. And ever since passing through the rabbit hole (in this case, watching the DVD and/or opening the case), JC’s done just that. As did the other commentors before you.
So, yeah, in Regular Reality, it’d be relatively* safe for JC to go to the event in NYC. But within the ARG, there is a legitimate question on if it is safe or not.
* As safe as any plane trip to NYC. Something could happen any time, but usually doesn’t.
JC:
Free trip to NYC, and a chance to break this mystery open? I’d go.
Case Man’s at least given you some sort of warning, so even if you don’t trust him fully, you know not to trust Armacham 100% either. Like not accepting anything they offer to drink.
If nothing else, you might get a novel idea out of the experience.
3B,
You are 100% correct. I was looking at the post in a very myopic light. After rereading my comment and then your follow up, I feel like a heel.
JC,
With what you have been given from Case Man and the information sent from Armacham it is up to you. Since you are not the only one targeted by both Case Man and Armacham you can be pretty sure that you aren’t going to be the only one with the extra knowledge there should you go.
A little more digging to get more info on how to harden your mind before you go? I’m not sure what all is out there other than what you’ve posted already as I haven’t had the time to delve into this myself. There must be ways to secure yourself and be able to pass the exams to “move up” to the next level.
Plus, knowing what Case Man has told you, you are better preparred than those who have not received his information.
I echo 3rd Bob’s sentiment, go for it.

Interesting. I’d go. And as I type this, am looking at the FDO™’s tour schedule to see if this matches up (since he also was given this case thing if my memory serves me rightly). And he doesn’t show up to NY until the 20th. All the same, interesting.
